  "curationNote": "I didn’t know David Lynch as a painter and installation artist until a classmate of mine, who’s a huge Lynch fan, took our whole class to a Lynch art exhibition. It felt like a mix between a contemporary gallery tour and a haunted house.\n\nI’d seen a few of Lynch’s films before, and watched more after that, including all three seasons of *Twin Peaks*. Looking back, the artworks feel completely coherent with his other work. I guess that’s how an artist builds an identifiable style over a lifetime of creating.",
