When it comes to numerical calculations, it is a SOTA tool. It offers a lot of things from numerical analysis over control engineering to machine learning. What it cannot do so far I know is symbolic mathematics. This is one reason to use SageMath for me. Scilab is always worth taking a look. It takes a little time to get used to the GUI. Once you do, you can accomplish a lot of things quickly and easily. The preview image is the first frame of one of my first videos that I created and edited with OpenShot. In addition to the video, I added easily AI-generated music to this video. Video as well as audio tracks can be easily edited and processed side by side.
